Jason Mraz

Sat 27 September

Cambridge Corn Exchange

Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Jason Mraz has announced details of his much-anticipated new album. YES!  Furthermore, Mraz has announced details of a string of UK live performances set to take place in September. The run of shows will give Jason the opportunity to play a more intimate gig for fans and at such iconic theatre venues in not only the UK but also around the world.

Jason Mraz’s fifth studio release, YES! sees the San Diego-based troubadour teaming up with his longtime friends and collaborators, Raining Jane, for a purely acoustic and more intimate sound than heard on his previous releases. YES! was produced by Mraz along with Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, Rilo Kiley), was recorded in rural Omaha, Nebraska and inland Oceanside, California. While somewhat intimate and esoteric, YES! still remains a Mraz-like pop album and  features classical instruments, cello, sitar and vintage guitars and sings about universal themes of love, faith, healing, environmental stewardship and inner peace.

One of the world’s hardest working and most beloved artists, Jason Mraz’s journey has propelled him from the San Diego coffee house scene to arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums all over the world. A two-time GRAMMY® Award winner and six-time nominee, Mraz made pop history with his record-breaking classic single, “I’m Yours,” while also earning platinum and multi-platinum certifications in more than 20 countries. Moreover, Jason has proven a truly diverse creative presence.

A dedicated surfer, farmer, photographer and songwriter, Mraz is first and foremost a committed global citizen. His impassioned social activism and philanthropic efforts span wide-ranging environmental advocacy and ardent support for LGBT equality.  Though it all, Jason Mraz continually confirms and celebrates music’s myriad forms and miraculous power, inspiring and delighting his countless fans around the world he calls home.
